At home on the Lackawanna  Contributor's Pick!
Just west of the old Lackawanna station in Binghamton is a plate girder bridge spanning the Chenango River. It has been better than 54 years since this livery was seen on it

Butch Getz General Nice job! 5/27/2014 5:13:20 PM
Tom Beckett General This will smack of cronyism, since I've known John for years, but what a superb photo!! The lighting on the bridge is jsut right, and the train is on the correct span, the former DLW main going west from downtown Binghamton. Looks almost as if the consolidation of 1959 never happened. All we need now is some of that run through Nickel Plate power!! Nice to see a shot from the "old country" on the home page-01/29/2015, at 0100 CST. Well done. 1/29/2015 2:15:48 AM
Jacob Werling General Awesome shot!!! 4/26/2015 1:34:57 PM

John Danielson General Love the lash-up, lighting, and location. Great shot! 10/15/2016 1:21:00 PM
Tom Beckett General Home page 10-28-2016. Too bad the "Lackawanna Railroad" lettering on that bridge has faded away. Would have been a nice touch. 10/28/2016 1:20:43 AM
Scott Crotwell General Fantastic shot! 1/28/2018 4:27:00 PM
Tom Beckett General Once again on the home page 04-11-2024. Still a stunning photo. Editors pick stuff if ever there was. 4/11/2024 5:05:38 AM
